TERC’s Educational Games at SXSWedu

August 14, 2015

Our friends at TERC, our partner for Leveling Up and SportsLab2020, have proposed two panel sessions for SXSW’s SXSWedu Conference and Festival in March 2016. One of the sessions is about TERC’s IRL (in real life) game, STEMlandia , a “geocaching” game used to guide players around natural settings. The other session is a panel titled Deeper Game-Based Learning In and Out of Class. USA Today’s National Education Writer Greg Toppo will lead this panel discussion on the learning that happens when gaming, and how to continue learning with games in and outside of classrooms.

Wait! Before TERC can secure their spots at SXSWedu, they need your votes! SXSW is using a voting platform to give SXSW attendees the opportunity to select which panels they are most interested in. SXSW’s reviewers will then select the ones they believe are the best quality and right fit for SXSW and its series of conferences. Show your support for game-based learning by signing up at the SXSWedu site and voting for TERC’s sessions:

Whether or not you vote, we encourage you to learn about the new ideas presented at SXSWedu!
