Free Public Event in October: Ideas for Prison Reform

October 15, 2015

We’re excited to take part in a public discussion event in New York City later this month about some issues that matter a lot to us: human rights, ecology, and prison reform. Joining our friends at Hidden in Plain Sight, we will debate ideas for a potential project that will help inmates develop practical job skills for re-entering the workforce through wildlife conservation. Ultimately, we hope this kind of project can help our society understand the systemic changes needed to support skilled workers in leading productive lives beyond prison. We look forward to bringing our perspectives from the fields of human rights, anthropology, clinical psychology, conservation, animal behavior, and economic development to this public event.
